Spoon's League Summer Basketball program would like to invite you to our Code of Conduct workshop Saturday, June 2nd, 2018. This is for all coaches, parents and players who participate in the league. We also extend this invitation to coaches from other programs and leagues throughout the City of Erie.
Coaches Code of Conduct Session:
In this session, we will discuss appropriate ways for coaches to conduct themselves at practices and games. The session will give coaches tips on how to interact with young athletes, fans, parents and officials. Upon completion of this session you will have a clear understanding of your expectations as a coach, how your positive and negative behavior affects young athletes and much, much more. Athletic Directors and Administrators of youth athletic leagues will also find this session valuable in enhancing their programs.
Parents Code of Conduct Session:
Unless you want a leading role on an episode of ‘Parents Gone Wild’, parents do not want to miss this informative session. In this session, you will be given tips on how to adequately support young athletes at practices and games. The session will also give you tips on how to interact with coaches and others who assist in making your child’s athletics a positive experience. Upon completion of this session you will have a clear understanding of your expected behavior as a parent (of young athletes) at practices and games, how to become more involved in your child’s sports team, how your positive and negative behavior affects young athletes and much, much more.
Athlete Code of Conduct Session:
This interactive session will empower young athletes to take ownership of their league, their actions when representing the league and how to their behaviors as an athlete can affect their families, communities and ultimately their world. Athletes will leave with a clear understanding of how they are expected to carry themselves at practices, during games and off the court.
